Earth Day 2013
Super excited to announce that I will be participating in the 2013 Earth Day Celebrity gifting event! I will have to make a "eco-friendly" design for the event and I have all sorts of ideas floating around in my head...now to just get them shaped into the form of a bracelet!

I'm baaaack!
Well, I am finally back and ready to blog! Lots of exciting things have been happening here at Belukro.com. In addition to adding lots of new jewelry and styles, including wonderful WRAPPED bracelets and LOOMED bracelets, I'm about to delve into jewelry using recycled...or is it "upcycled"? It's so hard to keep up with the new terminology--ha!...Anyway, where was I? Oh yes...Going to give the recycled Sari silk scarve bangle jewelry a try. Just waiting for the supplies to arrive. I have lots of neat ideas in mind so stay tuned...Also have been wanting to delve deeper into tribal-type and "gyspy-esque" sort of jewelry and ideas have been keeping me up at night so I'm really psyched to "birth", if you will, some of these ideas into reality.
In other exciting news, I was accepted into The Artisan Group!!
This will give belukro.com the exciting opportunity to create jewelry for the celebrity world, TV shows, etc. I'm so excited I could POP! Stay tuned for more news...

Mother's Day
Hello Everyone!
I'm sorry that it has been so long in updating the blog but I'm finally updating at last...
It's been a very busy bead month, and I'd like to thank you all for that! You are the inspiration for my designs! But, unfortunately I am going to have to take a mini break for a short period of time.
As many of you know, I am expecting a baby, and shortly after Mother's Day I will be having a little girl. During the following week or two I will not post any new designs...but of course you are still welcome to look around at the site! I will not be shipping out any orders for at least a week after the baby comes...but I will keep the site updated on dates, etc. regarding shipping orders. You may of course still place an order, but they will not go out until the 20th of May or later. As I said, I will definitely keep the site updated with dates on shipments, etc.
And of course, you are always more than welcome to email me with any questions or comments you have--I love receiving your emails! Thank you!
-Lori

November
Good Morning Fellow Bead Lovers!
As some of you know by now, I have had to take a short vacation from creating lampwork beads. The good news: I have been having a lot of fun discovering fellow lampwork artists' beads! So most of the new designs you see that include lampwork and/or borosillicate glass beads are from these talented artists. I will most likely return to making my own glass beads next summer or fall...I already have a lot of new ideas that I'll just have to save until then. :)
Also, many thanks to those of you that participated in my Veterans Day Sale. This sale also gives me a chance to donate extra to the Disabled American Veterans fund (www.dav.org).
Stay tuned to Belukro.com in the upcoming weeks. I'll have another contest coming up just in time for the holidays!

September
Thank you to you all for making September a great bead month! We had amazing participation in our sales events--which makes me think that we need to have more sales events!
As for the Great Ceramic Bead Experiment....it hasn't been going so Great. Seeing my litte blue kiln glowing orange on the inside from the high temperatures freaked me out a little bit so I am going to put the GCBE on hold for awhile. I am going to stick to my simple beading projects that don't require a 1500 degree temperature to complete!
And as always, we welcome all of your comments, questions, and custom orders...keep them coming!
